I attended the University of Illinois from 1972-76 and Dan Fogelberg could be found playing at the local coffeehouses on many weekends.  His music, along with Joni Mitchell's, Tom Wait's and Neil Young, were never far from my mind and heart.  As someone said above, he was as beautiful as his music....a fact not lost on any of the young women who sat enraptured in the audience.  I will email You Tube versions of his songs to all of my old college friends tonight and will be reconnected to a time long ago that now strikes me as a sweet time of possibility.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan's wife and family. He was a very talented musician. When I heard of his passing, I got all of Dan's CDs together and listened to his music all day today. It took me back years to some of the more memorable things that happened to me. Nether Lands was one of the first albums I bought in high school with my babysitting money. "Longer" was the theme of my junior prom. "Same Old Lang Syne" has always been one of my personal favorites, as were "Heart Hotels", "The Last Nail" and "Dancing Shoes". All of Dan's music expressed so much emotion and feeling, he really loved his compositions and it showed! My favorite line is from "Nether Lands" itself: "Where do you go when you get to the end of your dream?" Dan was very inspirational in his brave battle with cancer. God bless his memory, Dan was truly a musical legend!!! ~ Laurie

Family of Dan Fogelberg: My sincere condolences on the loss of such a wonderful person.  Less than a year ago, our family also lost a person of unfathomable beauty.  We will always wonder why she was taken so suddenly and so tragically.  We will never know, unfortunately.

However, we still discover new things about her that we never knew, from those who she touched over the years.  These small anecdotes, as well as our individual memories of her, have brought us so much comfort over the past year. I can only imagine the magnitude of these items, from a person such as Dan who has touched so many.  I hope you find some comfort from these folks, as well as your memories of Dan.

Personally, Dan has always been a favorite of mine.  So many memories have associated with his music over the years.  He has helped me through so many life experiences, and two life-threatening conditions which persist to this day.  I still find strength in his words, and vow to struggle and fight through my last day of existence, with his music at my side. God bless all of you. Take care ~ Mike

To Dan Fogelberg's family. His music meant a lot to a generation. I'm sorry for your loss. We're all singing "Same Old Lang Syne" this holiday. ~ Kim

Jean, God got a good one yesterday. Our prayers are with you.

Dan is one of my all time favorite singers. Such a talented musician/singer/songwriter will be missed in this world. His music was so beautiful it could bring a tear to even the hardest of hearts. His songs were so full of truth. I pray that his family has peace at this time and know that we are all mourning with you. Rest well Dan. The snow has turned to rain. ~ Renee McCarley

The struggle is done ... peace be with you always, Dan.  Jean, may you find comfort in the glorious memories and the knowledge that we all will miss him. ~ Nancy

Musical souls will grieve, remember and always be inspired-you made true music ~ Walter Ensor

My sister came home from college for Christmas Break, 1974 with a new album (Souvenirs) from some guy named Dan Fogelberg that she'd just seen in concert.  After one listen, I was also hooked.  My wife and I listened to Dan's music throughout our dating years (the late 70's) and in all of our 27 years of marriage.  We saw him live several times including a memorable acoustic show in Augusta, GA in 1995 when I sat right in front of him in row #1.  As a songwriter and musician, the man was an inspiration to me.  The Innocent Age holds a special place in my life.  My condolences to his loved ones, and my thanks to Dan for his gifts to us all and for an example of a life well lived. ~ John Bennett - Evans, GA

It is with deep sadness (but also knowing that Dan lives in many people's hearts) that I send my condolence to his family and friends.   May the Angels in Heaven be with Dan.  He left a legacy that means so much to us. We will never forget his songs.   Peace and Love be with all who loved Dan. ~ Tony Morales/El Paso Texas living in Bakersfield California

To Dan's Family: It is with great sadness that I received this message this morning. However, as I thought about Dan's music, especially in his later years, I know his faith was strong and that his music not only continues in our hearts and minds but in heaven as well. How the angels must be rejoicing to hear a voice like his that has no equal on earth. The" leader of the band" is certainly leading the band in heaven now. I first heard Dan's music in the late 70's when my college roommate was playing Dan¹s Home Free album. To this day, his music carries me through my highest and lowest times. His music touches my soul like no other music ever has. His legacy will indeed live on in our house as my 16-year-old son is now listening to Dan's music.

May God's grace and peace be with you and may your emptiness be replaced with the promise that God's children will all be back together, forever. In Christian Love ~ Perry Passen

I am sad to hear of the passing of Dan. His music has and continues to keep a very special place in my heart. I will never forget the first time I saw him in concert at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix - 1974. The next day I purchased all of his albums and haven't stopped playing them since. What a great artist. Never to be forgotten. ~ Scott

We lost a true musician today. A man who could make music that moved the soul has left us to his own rewards. My God grant him the eternal peace he so richly deserves and may he also grant his family comfort and support.

Your music touched my life - your beautiful music lulled my little ones to sleep, helped me through a terrible divorce, and kept me calm and sane.  I have no doubt you are now serenading the angels in heaven. May your family take solace in knowing how many people loved your music - may they wrap the memory of you around them like a warm blanket when sadness overcomes them. Rest in peace, wonderful minstrel. ~ Melanie Thomason

Dan Fogelberg was a real inspiration to me. From 1974 through the mid 80s I wore his records out! Today I write songs for a living in Nashville TN. I can honestly say I hear his influence in my music. There is such power in music, and what a gift he had. It saddens me to know he's gone, but his work lives on. God rest his soul ~ Steve Williams

We met after the University of South Florida concert in 1993.  I had heard your music in college back in the 70's.   Over the past thirty years  your lyrics have informed my heart and mind.  Dan, God is on His throne and seeing you come today is going to put a smile on heaven's face.  Imagine the angels and the joy they have having you back among them to join the heavenly chorus.   Not only that, but Daniel, your guitar will  give God glory.   Your music lives on and you are not gone.  Thank you for your gift, Dan. Love ~ Andy Benson

Beautiful. We are thankful to have had you for such a short time. ~ Susan

I discovered his music when I was only 17 and have enjoyed his music for the last 34 years.   I will always remember my first concert in Boston in '76 and have loved every one since. ~ Dave

I heard the news this morning before I left for work, and I simply can't believe it. I was hoping & praying that he would beat this terrible illness, and make a full recovery. Thank you for shaping part of who I have become.  Not having your gift  of words, I can't express what your music has meant to me in 30-plus  years.  Rest you gentle, dear friend never met.  May those  who grieve for you find peace and comfort in the love that many have  for you. ~ Tee in Mississippi

Dear Jean, Only those who have lost loved ones to cancer understand the helplessness you feel when no more can be done.  I pray that God eased Dan's pain and that in the next coming days, months, and years that God will ease your pain.  Your husband Dan has left all of us a great legacy and a wonderful message.  We must take care of each other and ourselves as well as live our life to its very fullest.  Thank you both for sharing his talent and your time with all of us.  Perhaps we will all be better people because of his witness. God be with you, watch over you and bless you. With much Love ~ Phyllis Eyre

Peace be with the Fogelberg family as we collectively mourn the loss of Dan and celebrate and honor his life.  One day we'll all understand. Oh, let it shine. ~ Christi

Jean, Fogelberg Family and Friends:   I am SO sorry for your loss.  I was surprised and saddened when I saw the news release online today. Dan was so talented.  I grew up in Peoria and lived there for 26 years.  I played guitar and knew the Phoenix album by heart in middle school.  I remember my Dad, who worked in East Peoria, talking about how "Leader of the Band" was dedicated to Dan's father and how impressed he was by Dan honoring his father in that way.   My turntable broke about eight years ago and the only music I've truly missed on album is Dan's.  Occasionally, I hear his music in my memory - "Longer", "The Last to Know" and "Along the Road" were some of my favorites. ~ Dawn, Wisconsin

Dan and Family, Your music and your humility has been a constant in my life. Thank you for sharing, may you be Blessed Always, A long time fan ~ Jodi

The Fogelberg Family, I am very sad to hear Dan left us.  He was the best.  I have listened to his music for years and will continue to do so.  Peace to whoever reads this. ~ Tracy - St. Michael, MN.

I spent an early part of my life in the working world as a disc jockey, moving from city to city playing the artists of the 70's, and treasure the memories I have of the way that Dan's lyrical style and musical presentation transported me to the places he sang about. Whether it was a song that evoked the strong love and respect I have for my aging father, or the bittersweet melancholy of "Same Old Lang Syne" and thoughts of a love left behind, Dan's words and interpretation went straight to the heart.

I'm saddened by his early departure from this troubled world, but grateful that his words, his talent, his music will last 'til the world ends. My prayer is for peace in the hearts and minds of those who loved him most and knew him best. God bless you Dan, wherever you are. And thank you. ~ Dave Wyatt

Dan, I LOVED your music and I loved seeing the friendliness and warmth in your face on your CD covers.  We'll all miss you, and thanks for the music and the words to the music! ~ Bill

Deepest condolences from a long time fan.  I've enjoyed Dan's music for over 30 years.  He was truly an inspired and inspiring individual.  I believe his gift was "channeled", as it truly was something divine. My whole family and I have enjoyed Dan's beyond  amazing songs for a long time and I know he'll be writing more songs in Heaven.  Can't wait to hear them! God bless & love ~ Stasi

I cannot recall being without Dan's music. It played in the background of my tumultuous twenties, when love can be especially painful, and in my thirties when I began to know what real love might be about. Thanks especially for "Gypsy Wind" and "Dancing Shoes". Always ~ Kim Callahan Hedden - Annapolis, MD.

I was raised listening to Dan Fogelberg and his music has always been part of the bond with my mother.  It is fitting then, that I was the one that gave her the news today.  We both cried and reminisced over all of the moments of our lives that have played out with his music in the background.  It is just so hard to believe he is gone. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. ~ Mrs. Jamie Ramirez - Fort Worth Texas

I grew up with the music of Dan Fogelberg.  "Longer" will be my wedding song.  It is such peaceful music, with lyrics that speak to your  heart.   I was saddened this morning when I heard on the radio that he  had passed.  I just sat for a moment and thought my gosh, such a wonderful  and brilliant man has been taken away.  But then I thought, his music  will always be with millions and millions of people here on Earth while he  continues to sing his eloquent tunes to the Angels up in Heaven.  Rest  in peace Dan, and thank you for your amazing musical contribution.  You  will be missed. ~ Kristin

Thank you Dan for your music and poetry that spoke so deeply to me.  Thank you for remaining the person that you were and caring for others, caring for the environment, and promoting the cause of peace.  Though we never met I feel that I knew you – far more so than other artists I have followed.  My thoughts are with you and those who love you as you melt into the “river of souls”.  We have all been blessed by your time among us.  Namasté, my friend. ~ Jeff

Living Legacy, Jean, & family, God Bless You All. My Sympathy and Love are with you tonight. I have always loved the music, and especially the inspiration that I have known as Dan Fogelberg. Please allow me to share a little. Dan and his poetry of the soul have lent a guiding hand and a light in the darkness through so many happy & troubled times in my life. Almost no other artist, music, or inspiration, has ever been a more profound, and more direct influence on my life. Dan inspires me to write honest music, and speak what is in me, even when some might not expect, or want to hear it. I feel that I missed out on a valuable time in music history by being born into a musical scene later than Dan's time as a pioneer in the 70's. Tonight, 12-17-07 6:50 pm, Charles Gibson of ABC told me that Dan was gone. I stepped out onto  my deck overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains, and I thought, "He gave a gift to 'ME' I know I never can repay". Thank You Dan. ~ Scott Ryan McCracken - Asheville NC

I have been a fan of Dan Fogelberg's since I was in high school back in the late 1970's.  I was saddened to read that he had passed away.  He was a phenomenal singer/songwriter and a great entertainer.  I was especially touched by his song, "Leader of the Band" and, like many brides, I included "Longer" in my list of reception music in 1983.  I always enjoyed telling other people about his music because, to me, for many years, he was an "undiscovered treasure".  He is in a better place now and I extend my condolences to his wife and family.  ~ Doreen, a fan from California

I can remember many difficult times in my life finding comfort in your music. ~ Kevin-NH

I first saw and heard Dan in concert in a small theater in Cincinnati in the early 70s.  It was a one-man-show and he needed no help from anyone to keep the audience riveted.  He was the whole package.  I was mesmerized by him.  He was beautiful inside and out.  I fell in love with his music then and still treasure it and his many talents today.  I am so thankful that he shared his gifts of poetry, music, visual art, vocals, and gentle spirit with the world.  He will be greatly missed by many.  Goodbye Dan.

I saw Dan in perhaps 15 different concerts over the years.  What a great musician and lyricist!  He will live in my heart forever. ~ Ann

Jean, May the Lord hold you in the palm of his hands and comfort you through this time of great sorrow. I truly believe you and Dan were soul  mates and that he had searched for you for a very long  time.   He knew how much he was Loved  ~ Laura  Hoffman, Palm Bay ,Florida

I first heard Dan's music as a college music student in the 1979.Twin Sons of Different Mothers was the recording and I have been a devoted fan ever since.? In the 1990's, Ron Chapman of KVIL radio in Dallas/Ft. Worth dubbed Dan "the poet laureate of the 90's." How true this was of this talented and giving man. He influenced everything from how I played acoustic guitar to how I tried to write my own songs. His way with lyrics as both a writer and singer was powerful in its ability to touch your heart.Dan, you will be missed, but your heart and soul live on in your beautiful music. Thanks for everything ~ Joel

There are tears in my eyes as I listen to his music as I write this.  I have loved his music for many years and was lucky enough to get to see him in concert.  I am sure he will be missed by many especially those who got to know him personally.  He may be gone but his music will live on  forever.  My prayers go out to Jean and the rest of his family.  God has Captured another Angel. ~ Michael , Wichita Ks

Whenever I hear Dan Fogelberg's song, they remind me  of the period of my life when I lived in the Pacific Northwest; Salt Lake City and Portland, Oregon.  I was younger, ambitious and more often than not, falling in or out of love; usually to the melodies of Dan Fogelberg in the background.   How can anyone who has ever been in love  not relate to the sentiment and emotion of "Same Old Lang Syne"? The artistry of Dan will be missed, but never forgotten, and his memory will live on in his music! ~ Glenn "Randy" Deering - Houston

" I've seen the bottom, and I've been on top, but mostly I've lived in between.  And where do you go when you get to the end of your dreams?"  Your music persuaded me not to commit suicide many years ago and for that I'm grateful.  I wish I could have told you that in person.  You inspired me to become a better human being and spread the karma of joy and love.  You made the world a better place to be. ~ Bruce Mandel / Michigan

Your songs will live on in our hearts even though your voice is stilled. ~ Wendy - Massachusetts

Listening to the music over and over brought joy  and tears. Then I met Dan backstage one night and he was just as  amazing and sweet as his music. I live in Maine as well and love its wildness  and serenity. Peace be with you Dan and for Jean: Know that Dan will remain in all of our hearts forever. ~ annette

Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventure ~ L.  Drachman

I just wanted to say I was saddened to hear of Dan's passing today.  He was my favorite artist/poet and was always inspired by his insight and wisdom  reflected in his songs.  I wish I could have known him personally. The world could use more people like him.  I'm sure he's in a better place.  I guess it's "Part of the Plan".  Thanks Dan Fogelberg. Sincerely ~ Greg Bolte, Phoenix, AZ

My heart sank when I saw the news this morning. I was a teenager when my older sister introduced me to DF's music. It warmed my soul then,  and now.  I even sing "To The Morning " to my 8 year old daughter, now and when she was a baby! He will always be remembered by me. While all others were listening to the hard rock, I preferred the meaningfulness of his lyrics. My sympathy to the family. He truly will be missed, but his music will play on in my heart and soul FOREVER. ~ Cherie Chabot, Canastota NY

I was introduced to Dan's music in 1978 as a freshman at the University of Illinois and have listened for hundreds or thousands of hours since. His music touched us as we planned our adult lives and tried to figure out who were at U of I. He found beauty and poetry in his Midwestern roots and had the guts to make it cool as one of the singer-songwriter pioneers. He taught us it was okay to feel deeply about our lives and loves and show it. When my wife called me this morning with the news of his passing, I felt I had lost one of my close college friends. Farewell, Dan, and thank you. ~  John Galante

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dan's passing on the radio this morning. Thought he would beat this. I have loved his music since 1978 when I heard "The Power Of Gold" and everything since then. Of course this time of year we all get to hear "Same Old Lang Syne" which is one of the greatest songs out there. Dan's music will live on and never be forgotten. My hearfelt sympathy to his wife and family. Time will heal your sorrow. Now I'm going to listen to Dan on my computer. ~ David from Little Rock.

Dan, When you see my daughter Libby Rae Hamilton, tell her I miss and love her and that I will be saying all my prayers through your music up to the heavens. You are one the special spirits out there. ~ Libby's Father.

To Dan's Family: You will never know what inspiration I felt through his music. I grew spiritually through many tough times in my life while listening to his amazing songs.   May he rest in peace and and know that he left this world a better place through his words. ~ John K   Arizona

I can't tell you how truly heartbroken I am at the loss of this beautiful soul. The loss is and will always be felt.Thank you  for your music.Rest In Peace... My prayers are with your family. ~ Danielle

Dear Jean: Dan and his music has a profound impact on perhaps more people than you will ever realize. I once knew a young woman, Lori, who played "To the Morning" upon waking every day for years. It was her way of facing the challenges of each day. His music will continue to move and inspire. His spirit is with us all. ~ Bill Watters, Paris

The music that Dan gave me, my family and my friends is very special. Today, because of hearing of this loss, I've heard from friends that I haven't spoken to in years. Why? Because, with Dan's passing, it's made us all think about how his music was something very special we shared. And he will always make me remember the good times, the smiles and the special moments we spent listening to his music. It's with such sadness - and yet fond memories - that I will always remember today. My best to you in this time of great emotion and wonder. Best ~ Robert Frichtel

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to the family and worldwide friends of Dan Fogelberg. We have lost a legend who made his mark in the music industry, however, his songs will carry us and his new fans for generations to come. With the holiday season upon us, "Same Old Lang Syne" will now stand out more than it ever has in the last quarter century it has played on the airwaves...Dan, you will truly be missed. God bless you, friend. ~ Michael Z - Columbus, Ohio USA

It is a very sad day - we have lost one of the most gifted singer songwriters of all time.  He will be missed greatly but will most certainly live on in his music.  I will always cherish my personal memories of all of the wonderful Dan Fogelberg concerts I was able to attend, especially the solo tour with Dan, his guitar, a piano. ~ Ken Brackett, Mission Viejo, CA

Dan, Your music legacy will live forever.  Your music is so beautiful, inspirational and heart-touching.  You were there for me during my tough  times when I was growing up.  I shall be with you now in my thoughts and  sincere prayers. ~ Wanda

I am so sorry for your loss. Dan's music is the music I fell in love to, the music of my wedding, the music that continues through my 26 years of  marriage.  I will never forget him or his talent.  May you feel the  peace of Christ. I am so sorry. ~ Mary Pat

The spirit of your music lives on forever Dan. To your wife and family and friends, it is so painful when they leave us, so take care of yourselves, light candles, cry and know that you really will see him again someday.  Thank you for letting us say good-bye for we almost never missed his concerts when he came to Red Rocks.  We would arrive early in the day and line the steps to get in first.  We had such a great time sharing Dan stories. One time we brought an Indian spiritual book to read and sat around making up our Native American names for Dan... such as "She who would be good for man with guitar". Anyhow it was all in jest, but I know I speak for the fans I met in saying we will treasure his memory and music for the rest of our days.  Peace. ~ Wendy

From a young black girl from Brooklyn -- Dan Fogelberg's music is VERY MUCH a major part of the soundtrack of my life. "Leader of the Band" is a tribute to my own father who also died of advanced prostate cancer. He died in my arms. My heart goes out to Dan's wife and family who were in the room as he left us. Thank you for being there for him. "Same Old Lang Syne" is the story of my life. ~ Alesia

I am so sorry for your loss.  I'm listening to the box set and thinking of how Dan shaped my musical ear early on.  The earth is much poorer now without him. ~ Mari

I cannot believe he has passed on.  I did not know he was sick.  My sister introduced me to his music and my now husband proposed to me just before a DF concert  which made it so much more meaningful.  I will never forget the music and how it touched our hearts always.  May his spirit shine on forever... ~ Patty Raffeld

I am so sad to hear of Dan's passing.  While growing up in the '70s I was so moved by the power and intimacy of his music.  His "one man band" efforts on his albums were proof that his skills as an arranger and performer were every bit as strong as his songwriting skills. "Love when you can, Cry when you have to, Be who you must That's a part of the plan" . God bless you Dan. ~ Eric Barthel - Riverside, CA

Dear Jean and Family, So sorry for your loss.  I've always enjoyed Dan's music and especially liked the haunting "Same Old Lang Syne". My husband recently had surgery for prostate cancer.  At age 50 you don't think this will happen.  Thanks for your honesty about Dan's illness - hopefully you've saved some lives. My prayers are with you. ~ Darcy - Kansas City

Dear Jean and family, I am so saddened to hear that Dan's battle with cancer has come to an end.  He will be greatly missed by myself and so many of my friends who listened to him through our college days and beyond.  Heaven has gotten a wonderful, talented man, and don't doubt that you have a guardian angel watching over you. ~ Valerie

"In My Father's House are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, and, if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." - Christ Jesus. (John 14:2-3).  May you be safe in the hollow of His hands right now.

May you be at peace.  You and your music touched so many...make music in heaven...

I just heard this afternoon of Dan's  death.  It was heartbreaking to read the news.  Had I known the  seriousness of his illness, believe me I would have written him earlier in the  year to let him know how marvelous a singer/songwriter he was and how greatly  his music touched my life.  His music was a constant backdrop to my life in  the 70s...at that time I lived in Gainesville, Florida.  You couldn't go  anywhere without hearing a Dan Fogelberg song.  His amazing talent will  never be forgotten.  I know he continued to make great music for many years  after that. My heartfelt prayers go out to his  wife, his family and close friends. With love ~ Ann Vassiliou

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  I have enjoyed his music since I first heard him, my favorite is "Longer" and then "Same Old Lang Syne" with all others next in line. He will be missed, but his music will live for all generations. My dad also had prostrate cancer and survived. Men need to do early screenings. We are all richer for his music! God Bless his family in this time of loss.  I am from Maine and enjoying a good ole Nor'Easter at this moment...Sorry to hear of his death.

I just read the news of Dan's death.  It is with *immense* sorrow and grief that I offer my condolences to his wife and family and to all the many, many loyal and adoring fans of his music such as myself.  I grew up with Dan Fogelberg and his music and inspiring life will ring on in my soul forever. Peace be with you and go with God, Dan.  Love ~ Gina Davis and Family, St. Peters, MO

A warm soft light has gone out for us all... Thousands of musicians cross our lives- few touch us with the power to shape our collective sense of what Love  really should feel like... Wherever you have gone, it is now a kinder, happier place simply by your presence. We will miss your soul here on Earth...

Mrs. Fogelberg and family, I am deeply saddened to learn of Dan Fogelberg's passing. My prayer is that our precious Lord Jesus will lift you and give you comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Dan's music will always bring a softness and soothing to my heart and ears. May God bless you and keep you. Fondly ~ Anita McGlothlin Gibson

I send my deepest condolences on Dan's passing.  "Leader of the Band" gave me a chance to sing my grieving for my father.  I have sung his music in countless solo gigs.  With Dan's loss a piece of my own life transfers over to history.  God bless Dan and his family.~ Rob Klein - Needham Massachusetts

I wish I had known about Dan's illness.  Now it  is too late for me to convey strong, caring and supportive sentiments to  him...but I know that he is at peace without pain.  God bless his sweet  spirit and the fact that I grew up in the 70s with an older sister who adored  his music.  Because of her (and the fact that Dan's music was so  special), I became an avid fan as well.  Jean, you are in my prayers.   Stay strong, honey, but please allow yourself to grieve if you're the type to  suppress your feelings.  Give yourself ample time to heal.  Your husband was a lovely person (as I've been told by the fortunate people  who'd met him over the years), and I'm very sure that his passing will hurt  indefinitely.  In fact, it may always hurt to some degree.  But many of us around the world care about you; you are simply a  friend that we haven't met yet.  May the Great Spirit surround you, Dan's  soul and your family with love and beauty.  Much love ~ Christine in CT

I feel that my heart has been broken. The man, the  music, and his wonderful voice will be greatly missed. God has another voice for  his choir. ~  H.L.Farmer

I was absolutely devastated to learn of Dan Fogelberg's passing. I'm 48 now and got hooked on his music at my girlfriend's house while her sister played his albums when I was 17. The world has lost a wonderful musical talent and a great family man as well I'm sure. My most sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. ~ Russ Gelfuso
